I am such a slacker...

and I totally blame it on hardly being able to funtion because all I want to do is SLEEP. and EAT. thats it. oh and throw helping a friend get her house ready and going to softball games for the lil sister almost every night in there and you have one tired pregnant woman. So my lil bit, I apologize for not giving you your credit in a timely manner. Im sure I'll catch payback from you shortly, as today you decided to bless me with a nice dose of all day nausea.

How far along? 8 weeks

Total weight gain/loss: up 3 lbs

Maternity clothes?no, but going shopping for pants this wkend

Stretch marks? i found two newbies on my right breast, i named them eleanor and scooter

Sleep: i want it all. the. time.

Best moment this week: cutting my hair, i like having a "mom" haircut for the moment

Movement: none

Food cravings: fruit and sugar sweet things, and breakfast food 24/7

Food aversions: still not to excited about red meat

Gender: i have a pretty strong feeling its a boy

I think I may be typing this while sleeping, because thats all I want to do lately! Oh and apparently my forgetfullness has made a comeback, because I forgot my camera at home when I set it on the table so I wouldn't forget it.. so you will have to wait for the belly pic till tomorrow. ::side note:: it looks pretty similar to last weeks!

Week 6: Sweet Pea

Growing like crazy, baby is starting to sprout eyes, ears, nose, cheeks and chin. Those little hands and feet- still webbed like paddles- might wiggle by week's end, the heart is beating (almost twice as fast as yours!), and blood is starting to circulate.

6 WEEKS!!!

Eh, I feel like a goodyear blimp, not that I am complaining AT ALL about being KU, but good golly, my bloat is like whoa...

I have become..

a human garbage disposal... Seriously I want to eat everything in sight!

I am still knocking on wood that I dont start the m/s around the 6th week as many other 1st tri girls do...

i am starting to feel whirlwinds of hormones kicking in, and going from being almost dead tired to not being able to stop shaking and constantly on the go at work... this baby is toying with all kinds of my emotions...


oh, ps.. orange dream pops are literally this pregnant girls dream treat right now.

5 WEEKS!

and technically 1 day, but I was so tired from working cows yesterday, I just didnt have the energy in me to post or take pics..

So I was officially 5 weeks yesterday. I am still so nervous/ excited and praying so hard that everything will be okay with this first trimester and we will just have a healthy baby.


I am not to happy about showing my "pooch" because I would rather it be a baby bump than a bloat bump, but thats neither here nor there.. I just wore a top that doesnt hilight the bloat to work today so u get the tummy pic ;)



Also my dad said his new mission for this baby is to make s/he call my mom "Weezer" i.e. off Steel Magnolias... Mom thought that was funny haha until she realized that my dad was definitely not kidding. Stay tuned in about 8 months to see what happens, lol...

Wow, its really happening!

We have told family members and friends. I am now officially "late." I am also starting to feel the effects of a extremely bloated tummy.. ::ahem cant button jeans ahem:: but other than that I feel great! I am so thankful to have the support of our families and friends!!

I saw this on Heir to Blair's blog and I think would be pretty kick ass to do this each week and eventually use it for our lil cutie's scrapbook! so I will start putting this in each time I post a new belly picture... oh yes you will get the mandatory belly pics!

Big News to Share!!!!!

well this picture speaks for itself!!!

After having all day Monday to ponder, I thought of a PERFECT way to tell Dusty: cook everything centered around the baby, of course!

First up: BABY back ribs!

next: BABY carrots! (or what was left of them)

So Dusty comes in from work, and is all excited about his "suprise" supper. He comes and kisses me hey while im mixing the sauce for the ribs and our conversations went like this:

Dusty: hey hun, whats for supper?

Me, the pregnant wife: baby back ribs and baby carrots

Dusty: ooh, (clearly disappointment shows on his face, thinking he was getting steak) thats it?

Me, the pregnant wife slaving over supper: no, theres more.

Dusty: (excitement lights up his face) really?!? what else??? (scans the kitchen for evidence of steak...)

Me: oh, just something you have been wanting... (insert sarcasm here... he has no idea whats in store!)

Dusty, the 25 year old kid: STEAK??!?!?!

Me: yep..

Dusty does his happy dance, and we eat shortly after. Minutes after finishing eating, I go to the "bathroom" (aka, get out of sight and grab the basket of goodies out of the spare bedroom) and emerge with his "dessert." I stop at the end of the hall and ask if he is ready for dessert.

His response: uhh, you got my dessert out of the bathroom?

::slams head against wall::

I assure him I didnt get his dessert out of the bathroom, and tell him to go sit down and close his eyes. Yes we still play the close your eyes game. I tell him to stick out his hands and NO peeking!

I hand him his basket and tell him to open his eyes. Our conversation goes like this:

Dusty, the unsuspecting one: aww sweetie, thanks for all this.. but you know Im on a diet. (he starts to fight his willpowere over Sugar BABIES...)

Me: I know hun, but just keep digging.. its kinda symbolic, the candy.. (I start trailing off about how everything tonight has symbolism, yada, yada, ya... oh wait..

Dusty eyes the bib, and about to get the suprise of his life.

Dusty looks up at me and barely mutters, "Babay??" and all I can do is nodd like crazy and start crying!

Dusty goes into a state of shock, and just keeps hugging me and rubbing my belly! He keeps saying he cant believe hes gonna be a daddy but he is so excited about it. (shocked face clearly still there)

Dusty is one that takes his time to process things, so after a few minutes of me soaking in the bathtub and he came in there and sat down and said he is soo happy for us and he cant wait to find out for sure that its a boy ;-)

We are pretty ecstatic about this news and cant wait to tell all our family and friends!!!!!
